Choir In-A-Day

What is Choir In-A-Day?

Discover the magic of Choir In-A-Day – a unique opportunity to join a choir for just one day. It's a celebration of music, unity, and the transformative power of harmonious voices coming together. There are no auditions, no long-term commitments, and no pressure for perfection. It's simply about embracing the joy of communal singing and connecting with others.

Each Choir In-A-Day event focuses on rehearsing and performing a single piece of music. Throughout the day, participants engage in fun singing games, warm-ups, and connection activities. Together, they break down the song, delve into its lyrics and emotions, and craft memorable musical moments. Casual rehearsal videos are even recorded to share with the wider community.

Whether you're a seasoned vocal performer or new to group singing, Choir In-A-Day welcomes you with open arms. All levels of experience are valued, creating a welcoming space for everyone to come together and create something beautiful.

Our Mission

Our mission is to foster a vibrant and inclusive community through collaborative music-making. We strive to create safe and judgment-free spaces where individuals can freely express themselves, forge meaningful connections, and embark on journeys of personal growth and self-discovery. Embracing diversity and celebrating individuality, we welcome people of all backgrounds, abilities, and identities to join us in creating music as our authentic selves.

Furthermore, we are committed to giving back to our local community by donating a portion of our proceeds to support local initiatives and causes. Through our efforts, we aim to not only provide a platform for creative expression but also to contribute positively to the well-being of our community. Together, we sing, play, connect, and grow, creating a harmonious environment where everyone can feel valued and empowered.

Preparing the Music

Before the event, participants will receive sheet music and vocal recordings for each part as learning aids. The aim is for everyone to familiarize themselves with their respective parts prior to the gathering. This way, we can maximize our time together by delving deeply into the intricacies of music-making, rather than spending it on individual part instruction. While memorization is not required (and definitely not expected!), the more confident we are in our parts beforehand, the more we can fully enjoy the creative process together.
